Route: /home. API: GET /v1/article/ · GET /v1/activity?size=5.

The counts come from the list, so there's no separate endpoint. The five most recently updated articles link to the editor. Below them, a Recent activity section shows the last 5 events (owner and admin) or the user's own (regular users), and links to Activity.

Visual reference: RenewCMS Screens Back-office.dc.html, groups "Home". Frames: AppFrame.dc.html (shell, sidebar, topbar, drawer) plus the screen frame where listed in components.md.

Copy per state (generated from the board source, pass 2)

Every state below is drawn in light and dark (theme switch on the board), at 1440×900 and 390×844 (both frames sit side by side). Board: RenewCMS Screens Back-office.dc.html. Copy is exact; where a cell is empty the state reuses the fixed copy.

# State Trigger Copy
1 Default The articles loaded. "Here's where things stand on your site."
2 Loading The list request is in flight. Skeletons appear after 150 ms. "Here's where things stand on your site."
3 Empty, first run Zero articles: a single call to action, and no stats. "Welcome to RenewCMS."
4 Error A 500 or network failure on the list request. "Here's where things stand on your site."
5 Update available (owner) The owner only. A quiet banner above the content, and an "Update" pill on the Settings item (a dot on the menu icon on mobile, read as "Update available"). Dismissing hides the banner until the next version; the pill stays. Admins see neither. "Here's where things stand on your site." / "Version 2.3.0 is available" / "Update it from Settings. It takes about 2 minutes and the site stays online."
6 Update ready to install (owner) The download is checked. The same banner changes its copy, and a dismiss comes back on the next visit because the update is waiting. "Here's where things stand on your site." / "Version 2.3.0 is ready to install" / "Restart from Settings to finish. The site is unavailable for about 10 seconds."
7 Recent activity: loading The activity request is in flight. Five skeleton rows. "Here's where things stand on your site."
8 Recent activity: error A failed request shows an inline alert in the section only. The rest of Home is unaffected. "Here's where things stand on your site."
9 Recent activity: empty No events yet. "Here's where things stand on your site."
10 Regular user Own events only, titled "Your recent activity". The sidebar has no Users, Integration or Settings. "Here's where things stand on your site."
